The biggest sled

Have you ever seen a sled this big?? This was a first for me and it was really fun to ride on. We pulled it behind the Rhino and as you can see by the picture you can fit a lot of people on it. We even took some of the neighbor kids for a ride. It was a piece of farming equipment that broke, and Micah decided to turn it into a sled.

It's Christmas Time

Wednesday the 16th Jackson had a Christmas program that we went to. He did a very good job singing. He even had a solo(see video). Sorry the pictures aren't very good, it was dark in the room.

Today Jackson and Makenna enjoyed painting home made ornaments. Now we have to wait for them to dry before adding them to our tree.

Thanksgiving weekend

Sorry I didn't post this sooner. I have lost my camera and have to get copies from every one else who took pictures for me. Anyway we had a fun thanksgiving staying close to home this year. We went to my parent's home in Ely and spent the day there and the food was delicious. Friday, every one came to our home in Lund to ride 4-wheelers and the rhino. I made a lasagna dinner for everyone and we played lots of games. Sat. Micah took some of his siblings and their spouses, some cousins, and me repelling down whipple's cave. We had a fun time with everyone who was here for the Thanksgiving weekend.

Jackson's tooth

Once school started back in August, Jackson asked me if any of his teeth were loose, because the older kids were losing their teeth. I checked the bottom ones and they were just starting to get loose, so I told him that it would be a long time before it came out. Well, just about every week he asks me if it is getting loser. About two weeks ago, I said he will probably lose it around Thanksgiving time. Just a few days ago, I took another look at it and realize that it is just about ready to come out and the new tooth is already coming in. I told him probably by this weekend. By Wed. I said it will be out any day. Well finally it came out this morning(with a little help from his dad) He is so excited and has been telling everyone about it. He keeps asking about the tooth fairy, so I guess we will see if it visits him tonight!!

Happy Halloween

Friday night there was a halloween carnival at the school. We decided to go and the kids had a lot of fun. There were lots of games for the kids, to play and there was also a bounce house. As you can see nothing seems to scare Makenna as she goes head first down the slide on the bounce house. Jackson and Makenna had a fun time trick-or-treating on Sat. They got plenty of candy and Jackson loved being superman and Makenna loved being cinderella.

Bowling

For family home evening on Monday we went bowling in Ely with my mom, brother Kelley, sister Candice and her husband Moroni, and Moroni's family. Jackson bowled better than me, I did get a lot of gutter balls. It was a fun activity for our family.

Halloween Train

Saturday we got to ride the Halloween train in Ely. My dad got us all tickets and we rode the train with Candice, Moroni, & my parents. Along the ride they would tell a story and then outside were people acting out what they said. There were lots of ghosts, goblins, scary looking people. Jackson and Makenna really liked riding on the train. I tried to record some of it along the way, but they are hard to see, so here is a quick video of one of the scenes.

Free samples

I just received this package today and thought it was a pretty good freebie to get. It is homeopathy children's medicine for cold and flu-like symtoms. If you have a blog then you can receive your free samples by going to
They aren't little samples that you usually get, but full size. They are recommended for 2-3 years and older. Doesn't hurt to try, especially since it was free!!

Happy 30th Birthday Micah!!

Tomorrow will be Micah's 30th birthday. I want Micah to know how much I love him and hope that he has a wonderful day. Also this past weekend was Micah's mission reunion in Utah. He was able to visit with his mission president from Brazil which he hadn't seen in about 9 years. It was fun listening to them speak in Portuguese. President Godoy is also now one of the seventies.

Soccer time

Jackson finally got to play in his first soccer game this past weekend. He did such a good job and scored several goals. He has really improved from last year. Makenna enjoyed playing on the toys at the park while Jackson played his game. They play 3 on 3 with no goalie.

After the soccer game, we went 4-wheeling with my parents around Ely. We also went pine-nut picking and my kids never complained the whole time we were out. They were big helpers picking up the pine-nuts. Now we get to enjoy eating the pine-nuts.

My little sister is married!!

Congratulations Moroni & Candice!! They were married on September 12th in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. They had their reception in Ely on the 19th, so we are now done. I think I can concentrate on other things for awhile, now that all these weddings are out of the way. We had a fun time at my siblings weddings this year, but had to do a lot of traveling.

My cutie pies

I always try to get my kids pictures taken once a year, on one of our trips out of town. Although I did try Ely's pictures and didn't like them. So I will stick to getting them out of town. This was finally a good experience, probably because they are old enough where you don't have to bribe them to smile, and they weren't crying or taking way to long. So here are my cutie pies!!

Labor Day Weekend

We have had a fun labor day weekend with all of our families. Sat. we spent all morning harvesting our garden, then we did a dutch oven with other side dishes for lunch, James also gave his nieces and nephews horse rides. We road a little bit on the 4-wheelers, and watched the BYU football game.Sunday was Makenna's 3rd birthday. She was so cute opening all her presents she would say "Wahoo" after each one she opened. She told me her favorite present was her bike and flip flops. If you have ever taken her shopping, she loves to try on all the shoes. She was excited to finally have her own bike and not a hand me down from Jackson.

Kindergarten

Jackson started his first day at kindergarten today. He goes to school from 12-3:36pm. He was so excited and his teacher is Mrs. Montgomery. There are about 10 students in his class, but his teacher also teaches 1st and 2nd. I can't believe how big Jackson is getting. Now Makenna and I will get to have a few hours to ourselves to do whatever she wants.

Events in the past month

Jackson born on August 16th, 2004
Happy Birthday Jackson!! He turned 5 years old yesterday. He had a fun day and also had to give talk in primary and had it memorized and did a good job. All of his birthday pictures are on other family members camera's, since I can't find mine. I will post them later.

Jackson 1 month before he turns 5

We celebrated Jackson's birthday on the 15th in Ely with the Ewell relatives and here are some pictures from that day.
Congratulations little brother. Quinn and Kaysie were married on the 14th in the St. George Temple. It was really warm there and it was fun to see everyone who came.

On August 1st I went down with my parents to St. George Temple for Kaysie's endownment. Candice also took out her endownments in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple on the 8th. So we have been traveling a lot lately, but get to stay home for a few weeks until Candice gets married.

We also had Lund Pioneer Days here on July 25th. We made a float and I got to ride on it with the kids. We also went to the rodeo and got to see Kaysie do the Barrel racing and then watched the fireworks. It was a fun weekend.
