Washer Disaster

I only post this in hopes that I keep someone else from doing the same mistake I did.  I was so excited to be leaving our house all clean before going to Hawaii.  Sat. night the 10th we finished the last minute cleaning.  Well at 4am on Sun. morning the 11th, a child woke up and had wet their bed, so me being the clean freak that I am thought I should just throw the sheets in the washing machine, so when we wake up in the morning I would put them in the dryer and have the bed all made before we left for our trip.  Well at 7:30am(3 1/2 hours later) Makenna comes to our room and tells us that there is water dripping into the extra bedroom downstairs.  Realizing what it was we jumped out of bed and yes our washing machine flooded our house.  I started crying when I realized how bad it was. I still today hate to even think about it, but I do know that what is done is done and life moves on :).  We immediately took everything out of the extra bedroom, the storage closet, & toy room, tore up the carpet, vacuumed up the water, and started fans to help dry it out.  So Makenna's room became the mess of all the toys, our movie/family room has the rest of the extra bedroom/storage in it.  So instead of coming home to my lovely clean home, we have this disaster to take care of.  Not only did we just finish our basement  just over a year ago, it looks like we may have to tare out the tile in our kitchen/laundry room.  So here we are having to remodel a new home, which is our next project after we enjoy Christmas. 

P.S. DON'T EVER DO LAUNDRY AT 4 IN THE MORNING!!!
