Trip to ID and back home with the cousins

We spent this past weekend in Idaho. We stayed with my grandma Esplin and the kids were so excited when we finally arrived there. It is a 7 hour drive from our home, but we went to SLC, UT for some business for Micah and then up to ID, so we were in the car all day long. On Sat. my grandma's ward was celebrating pioneer day, so we had a dinner and then they did a candy cannon for the kids. I tried to take some videos of it, but it is hard to see all the candy flying in the air. The kids loved it, but were scared they might get hit by some candy, but we would protect them. Afterwards we decided to walk to the snake river and throw rocks into it. Don't ever go to the river in the evenings, because it was miserable. The mosquitos, nats, bugs were flying all around us. We sprayed bug spray on us, but I think instead of repeling the bugs it was bringing them to us. At least Jackson had a fun time, because he didn't want to leave, he enjoyed throwing rocks into the river.



When we got home on Sunday Jackson and Makenna's cousins(Hannah and William) from Lehi, UT were here waiting for us to come home. Grandma Jeanne bought a power wheels for the kids to play with and they have really enjoyed driving it. So this week we will be spending a lot of time with the cousins.
